These three presets cover almost every everyday case: a portrait photo that needs to be landscape (90°), a scanned page saved upside down (180°), and a picture from a phone that arrives turned the wrong way (270°). Quarter turns simply rearrange the pixels, so nothing is resampled.
Image Rotator
Image Rotator turns any photo 90°, 180° or by a custom angle, right in your browser.
- Your images never leave your browser
- Free, no sign-up
- No watermark
Image Rotator turns your photo as many degrees as you need. Use the one-click 90°, 180° and 270° buttons for quick turns, or drag the angle slider to straighten a tilted horizon. The canvas grows to fit the rotated picture, so nothing is cropped away.

Rotate 90°, 180° or 270° in One Click
Straighten a Tilted Photo by Any Angle
In Image Rotator, the slider covers −180° to 180° in whole degrees, and the number box accepts tenths of a degree for fine corrections. That makes it easy to level a slanted horizon or square up a scan that came out a couple of degrees off.
Rotate an Image Without Losing Quality
Image Rotator renders every rotation from your original file at full resolution, never from a previous result, so trying different angles does not wear your picture down. Turns of 90°, 180° and 270° are pixel-exact. Custom angles blend neighbouring pixels slightly, as any editor must, and fill the new corners with transparency in PNG and WebP or with white in JPG.

How do I rotate a picture by degrees?
Type the angle into the number box or drag the slider. Positive values turn clockwise and negative values turn counter-clockwise. The preview and the download both use exactly that angle.
Can I rotate a photo on my phone?
Yes. Image Rotator runs in Safari on iPhone and Chrome on Android, and can open photos straight from your camera roll.
Does rotating crop my image?
No. Image Rotator grows the canvas to fit the rotated result, so the whole picture stays visible. With custom angles the new corners are transparent in PNG and WebP, or white in JPG.
Is this image rotator free?
Yes. It is free to use, with no account, no watermark and no limit on how many images you rotate.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Image Rotator works inside your browser, and your images never leave your device.
What formats can I rotate?
JPG, PNG, WebP, BMP and GIF (first frame), up to 25 MB and 8,000 pixels on each side. Save the result as PNG, JPG or WebP.
